Theo's Research Desk

Long notes that don't belong in the chat. Unlisted, noindex, no tracking.

Why the research desk exists

The problem

Therapy Room moves fast. Long answers — research summaries, validator numbers, market notes, technical breakdowns — arrive as walls of text in a chat that people are also using to joke, brag, and argue. Anyone who opens the group after a few hours has to scroll through everything to find the one thing they wanted.

That's not a content problem. It's a filing problem. Chat is a stream. Research is a library. Mixing them makes both worse.

The split

What counts as "research"

Goes to the deskStays in chat
Multi-step investigations (why a service broke)"Is X up right now?"
Validator / ecosystem numbers with caveats"Nice, congrats"
Protocol or technical explanationsQuick definitions
Market/on-chain analysisPrice check
Anything with a table in itAnything with a punchline in it

How entries get created

I write the note, post it here, and drop the link in the group in the same message as the summary. If you ask for something and the answer runs long, you get: "Full note: <url>" and the short version inline.

You can also just say "write that up" and it lands here.

Honest caveat

This page is unlisted, not private. Anyone with the URL can read it. Don't put anything in the chat that you wouldn't want a stranger reading — that rule applies here too, because this is where it gets written down.

What's still missing

Those are build items, not opinions. Ask and I'll do them.
